Vintage 3 Musketeers Chocolate Bar: What flavors existed?

Did You Know that the 3 Musketeers chocolate bar was named THREE musketeers because they used to come in THREE flavors?

That’s right! When the sweet chocolate bar was introduced by Mars, Inc. in the year 1932, it came in three pieces --- 1) Vanilla, 2) Chocolate, and 3) Strawberry. In fact, that was its major selling point. The big candy bar that you can buy for cheap, but still be able to share with your two friends.

However, due to rationing during World War II, it became too expensive to provide all 3 flavors. This led them to cutting down to one flavor. By 1945, the regular 3 musketeers only came with filling: chocolate.

Below are a few commercials for the chocolate bar: a short while after they discontinued the other 2 flavors:

As you can see in the commercial examples given above, 3 musketeers used to have indents to divide it into three pieces. These were commercials shortly after World War 2 ended (1950’s). While they only showed one flavor (chocolate), it used to be breakable for the fact that it came in three flavors. Today, however, it only comes in one unbreakable piece, having changed its form because of the lack of flavor variety.

Over the years, there were special flavors that came out. The chronological list of SOME of the 3 musketeers flavors are as follows:

 YearFlavor
1932-1945    3 bar chocolate (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry)
  1945-present Chocolate filling
 2007
 Mint
 2007 "Autumn Minis"
 ......
Christmas 2012 Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow

Would you want to see a throwback of all 3 flavors? I, for one, am very curious. Are there any other flavors you want to come back and stay for good? Or are there new flavors you want to suggest (ie: Caramel Popcorn)? Let us know below!
