Not many people have heard of the incredible ocean-saving company, 4Ocean. To give a brief overview, it is an organization that sells bracelets made from recycled materials as well as eco-friendly water bottles and apparel. For every bracelet sold, they promise to remove one pound of trash from the ocean. It is a generally new company that was founded in 2017 by Alex Schulze and Andrew Cooper. Something that is great about this company is that since it is not a non-profit organization, the people that are working tirelessly to clean our oceans are being paid to do so. Since 2017, over 5,380,000 pounds of trash have been removed from the ocean by the 4Ocean team. Just think what they could do over the next 5 years!
Some people may not like the fact they have to purchase something to contribute to the 4Ocean team, but when you really take into consideration the amount of trash that is being removed directly from you purchase, it is quite substantial. Each bracelet costs only $20 and is going towards a great cause. Granted, it would be great if everyone could just do ocean clean ups themselves but unfortunately it is not that easy. 4Ocean now has the funds and resources to pick up trash on a large and even global scale. They use the latest technology that allows them to pick up mass quantities at one time. This company is finally showing the world there is hope. It may actually be possible to clean the whole ocean.
