On July 30th GRIL
announced it has opened its first delivery-only ghost kitchen in the Chicago
market. Located at 3517 N. Spaulding Ave., the kitchen will showcase menus from
Muscle Maker Grill, Healthy Joe’s and Muscle Maker Grill’s new Meal Plan
concept – Meal Plan AF.
GRIL guests can order healthier for you dishes from any
of the three concepts through third party delivery platforms providing ease of
ordering and the option for contactless delivery. Ordering platforms include:
DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, Postmates, ChowNow and Caviar. As the demand for delivery
increases due to social distancing, many restaurant concepts are looking toward
ghost kitchens to expand quickly while meeting the growing need for fast
options.
The new GRIL Spaulding
delivery-only ghost kitchen is the first to open and is part of a ten-location
agreement signed by the brand earlier this year. Locations two, three and four
are under construction and will also open in Chicago throughout the summer. The
GRIL brand is zeroing in on a few key metropolitan markets for the
remaining five locations in the agreement.
Ø Lease to Expand at Texas Tech University Health
Sciences Center El Paso
On July 9th
GRIL announced a signed a lease to open a Muscle Maker Grill in the Medical
Sciences Building II (MSB II) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) this fall, its fifth company-owned university
location. The new Muscle Maker Grill will be located in the food court of the
Medical Sciences Building and will offer its traditional “healthier for you”
menu featuring grass-fed steak, all-natural chicken, lean turkey, plant-based
entrees, superfoods, smoothies and shakes, meal plans and catering services.
Ø Expanded Burger Menu & New Concept Name - MMG
Burger Bar
On June 25th
GRIL announced a new concept name and expanded burger focused menu in
Lynchburg, VA. The new name, MMG Burger Bar, formerly a traditional Muscle
Maker Grill was set up to reopen in early July and feature more decadent burger
options.
GRIL
opened up on the NASDAQ at $5.00 a share; it is currently $2.20, which means
