Good morning star shine, the earth says hello!! If you know where this greeting quote is from, you're probably a Johnny Depp fan, which I am. If you are unfamiliar with the quote, that's okay too, it's from the remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring Johnny Depp. This is not the last night's date night movie, yall know we saw Good Boys, oh my gosh hilarious. I'm getting slightly off-topic, but go figure, that's how my brain works. Before I get why the movie was soo good and highly recommended, let me tell you a little that's going on at my house and the past two days since I've been home from vacation.
I think I told you guys that my man was unable to pick me up from the airport when I landed on Sunday night, he was two hours south of me earlier that day meeting with a client. We both do photography and he does videography as well so this friend of his asked him to shoot his wedding. He asked if he could bring a second photographer along, implying me. I am so excited to meet the couple, my man told me he's already raved about me to them. I'm not sure if he talked about me as me or as a photographer. Either way, I am flattered he's proud of me to the point of talking about me to others. Again, sorry, totally getting off-topic. Anyways, his parents picked me up which was super out of the way so I was very appreciative to them. They drove me to his house, where I waited with them for about twenty minutes until he made it home. I ended up staying the night at his house because, at my house, there was a plumbing issue and the water was turned off. Well, that just wouldn't work for me, I needed and wanted to shower. Plus I missed him and wanted to spend time with him and oftentimes, I end up falling asleep as it gets late. I woke up Monday morning, threw on some clothes and had my man drive me back to my house, where my car was since I was on vacation for a week. He came in for a hot second to help me bring my luggage in and then left to work. I quickly changed into my work clothes, made a breakfast shake, grabbed my computer and workout clothes and headed off to work.
After work, I went to the gym for 90 minutes at 24 hour fitness, and guys I got sweaty, and mid-workout, I realized I still couldn't shower at my house...UGH!! When I got home from the gym, there were three guys in our driveway, one, shoulder heigh deep in a hole with a pile of dirt sitting next to it. They needed to dig down deep to get to the pipe so they could replace it. Long story short, it was not fixed quickly and I ended up spending another night at my man's house last night so I could shower and be comfortable. My man was out with his parents getting dinner when I arrived, so I let myself in, played with his dog and headed upstairs to shower. It was good timing because he got home shortly after I finished showering and getting dressed. We then, hand in hand headed out to see Good Boys.
This movie was hilarious, no joke, the WHOLE theater was laughing and laughing so loud there were lines I missed because I couldn't hear or was laughing too hard myself. I feel like it's a movie I would see again, but I would want to wait because it is slightly predictable. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I do highly recommend seeing this movie, Tuesday nights (today) are often discount nights, so worth it. We got home from the movie and went upstairs, I turned on the series You on Netflix my man passed out pretty quick, I too wanted to go to sleep, so I turned off the TV, turned off the lights, kissed him on the cheek and walked to the other room to go to bed. We do not sleep in the same room when we're at his house, because its a family rule and we both respect that. I had just fallen asleep when I was woken up again. It was my man, he was kicking me out of the spare bedroom and sleeping on the couch and told me to go into his room where the bed was. I tried to argue with him, but he cares about me so much and is stubborn too. I was up for a while, I couldn't sleep well, personal things running through my head. I did end up falling asleep after 3:00a and woke up this morning around 9:20a when my man came into the room to close the blinds and kiss me before getting ready for work.
I too got up and got ready for work I left shortly after he did, I stopped by his work to bringing him is shoes and a snack that he forgot at home before getting to my own job and working. Here I am now at work, chilling listening to my audiobook for class and music at times too. Looking forward to a good day today. After work, I'll go to the gym again and quickly head home to shower before my study group at church tonight. I might meet up with my man for another movie tonight but we need to talk about it more. So here's to Tuesday, hopefully, you're day is good and if not, there's always tomorrow. As always, catch you on the flipside, Ciao!!
