In 1777, Capt James Cook was making his way North through the Pacific Islands heading for his destiny with Hawaii. A brief encounter with the fierce warriors of Fiji, he met “Croi” a young Chief (Ratu). Capt. Cook, being of proper English blood, decided that “Croi” sounded way to French, so standing on the deck of his ship “Discovery” He announced that from this day forth, we will spell in proper English, the way it sounds “K-Roy”.
So it was told to Me.
Roy Kroy (Croi)
We call each other Yaca (ya-tha) (translated.....two men same name) so I was told.
