HAVE YOU EVER BEEN

VETTING.

It might come as shock to some, but this has been around for a long time, done by most if not all countries.

I have been vetted (detained) 5 times. The first time was at LAX (America), I must have looked the scary part. Next was Fiji, they did not understand why I would pay all that money to surf in the ocean, again, must be that scary look (profiling). Next was a good part of a day at a Chinese Police station and I do not speak mandarin. Finally, Indonesia, looking for easy money from a not so rich American (settled on $400). Last time in South Korea, should not have had my Un hair cut.

So it is not an American conspiracy to figure out who is who. I was polite, courteous, told the guys & gals with the badges what a great country they have, and what a good job they were doing. I, so far, seem to get to go on my way and enjoy the world.

Maybe sometime in the future I will make the nightly news that an American is being held captive, beheaded (they do that in some places I hear), or I will continue to enjoy the people that I meet along the way.

ALOHA
