# National Pet Day

National Pet Day is probably the best day ever if you are an animal lover. In my case I love animals. I even watch an anime that is about a guy that has a cat, it’s a show about a dude and his cat that really it, that’s how much I love animals. I grew up with a dog named Max, a black lab that was the beginning of the story for my journey with man’s best friend. He was the best first dog anyone could ever had. Max was the protector I needed growing up being outside in the world. (Yes I was still part of the generation that would actually go outside and play) Next, was the strongest most active punk of a dog I could ever ask for, his name was Rocky. Rocky was by far the biggest chocolate lab I have ever seen and definitely the most playful. What is unfortunate is that both of them had to be put down for different medical reasons. Without a doubt thinking of both of them will probably make me instantly cry no matter what I am doing. I could be at a laker game and I get reminded of Rocky boom instant eye watering. I guess that shows you the amount of love that I had for my best friends. They were and always will be my family and in my heart. However, I have this new crazy rambunctious psycho of a dog named Luca. I’ve never seen a yellow lab be this unbelievably hyper and want to play 24/7 while trying to climb literally everything and everyone. Luca is by far the funniest of the 3 I have had the pleasure of having, but he definitely is the most playful and cuddly. As it is National Pet Day, I give a virtual pat on the head and a scratch on the back to all pets out there. Thank you for putting a smile on our faces during our low moments, we really don’t deserve you as our best friends, but thank you for always being there for us.
