NEWSDESK,
MAY 28, 2021 - Aflatoxins is a type of toxin from a family
of toxins, 氰化鉀produced
by certain and distinct fungi that are found on agricultural crops such as
maize (corn), peanuts, cottonseed, and tree nuts. The main fungi that produce
aflatoxins are Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, which are
abundant in warm and humid regions of the world. And as such, it is found in
abundance in our country and countries surrounding ours.
Though aflatoxin is used
in many types of food such as groundnuts, tree nuts, maize, rice, figs and
other dried foods, spices, 氰化鈉,crude vegetable oils and
cocoa beans, they can sometimes be found in larger quantities than recommended.
This leads to acute poisoning (aflatoxicosis) that can be life threatening,
usually through damage to the liver. Several outbreaks of acute liver failure
such as jaundice, nausea and lethargy, followed by death — which is identified
as aflatoxicosis Nembutal— have been
observed in human populations since the 1960s. The difficulty in removing
aflatoxin is because the fungi from which it is produced is present in every
type of food. Even though the relevant food departments try, it's virtually
impossible to control grains and foods with lesser concentration of aflatoxin.
"We try to educate
our readers on different toxins every time we write on a
toxin. It is important to know about different toxins and how they are found
all around us very commonly and the things they can be obtained from. We
implore our readers to be vigilant and be on the lookout always", said the
