How to Avoid Sugar

Sugar is one of the biggest factors that lead to weight gain. It’s one of the quickest ways to gain a bunch load of calories and end up turning all that sugar into fat. To counteract this, here are some tips that can help with the sugar cravings. 


1. Drink water instead of juice or soda

Limiting the amount of daily sugar intake will lower the sugar craving


2. If you end up drinking soda, go for zero-calorie/light ones

If you have trouble with taking away soda, drink sodas that have zero calories or are light. This will let you slowly lower your sugar intake. 


3. Distract yourself

Sugar cravings are a dangerous thing. A lot of times, you end up eating because you are bored and need something to do. To beat this, distract yourself with some sort of activity that will take you closer to your next meal.


4. Don’t go grocery shopping on an empty stomach

Going grocery shopping on an empty stomach leads to more impulse buying, and buying foods because you want to eat that now. Go shopping after you eat to feel full when looking at all the food options.


5. Don’t wait too long between meals

The longer you wait in between meals, the more you will end up snacking on something to end that craving. This will end up being extra calories added before your actual meals. 


6. Eat some berries to give you sugar

To appease the sugar cravings, eat natural sugars from berries to satisfy you.
