Summer in October?

Ever experienced hot summer weather during October? If you live in Southern California, you'll understand exactly how this feels. As leaves start to fall and change colors during the season of autumn, the sun is still beaming at Southern California with temperatures of 90 degrees and higher. After living in Southern California for more than three years, it's stayed frequently warm into the early fall season but not reaching temperatures as high as now. If you live somewhere where you're experiencing perfectly normal temperatures that align with the season and where you're from, consider yourself lucky. Although, many cities across the country have been experiencing high temperatures in 2019.  Even though I prefer warm weather, it's just too much hot weather all the time. Now, doesn't this make you question why it feels like summer in October? It honestly concerns me just a tad bit.

There can be many factors that are causing this unusual heat, where climate change is one of the biggest factors. Climate change is when there are new weather patterns that stay in place for an extended period of time, which can result in abnormal variations of climate. This climate change is caused by the greenhouse effect, changes in land usage, and human activity. The greenhouse effect releases certain gases into the atmosphere that causes a blockage, which restricts heat from escaping. The changes in land usage such as agriculture and factories that emit pollution have also caused climate change. Before factories and agriculture took over space, there were empty lands full of trees and natural resources. Humans are also to blame for climate change because of how much of an impact we leave on our planet with our carbon footsteps. With more and more human activity means more cars contributing to pollution and more trash and plastic thrown into the ocean harming our animals. All of these causes that lead to climate change should make you realize that the only way to fix climate change is to consider what you can do that will benefit our environment for the better. Climate change results in affected water supply and quality since it changes the nature of rainfall, snow, evaporation, and more because of the warmth. There is no good outcome for our Earth if climate change worsens and people are doing nothing.

It doesn't take much effort to help the planet. Try to refrain from producing so much waste and using non-biodegradable products like plastic, especially straws that go straight into the ocean and hurt sea animals. There are many environmentally friendly products out there.
