What Are Doing the Rest of Your Life?

The beginning of each year is a great watershed time to re-visit life-plans, yearly goals and, as a good checkpoint, to review whether our daily habits are working effectively for our goals. These checkpoints are important because they give us a good indication of whether we need to alter our daily habits to meet the timeline of our objectives. Or, if we need to alter our objectives based on our progress.

Take a Self-Consultative approach

Ask yourself penetrating questions and be honest in your responses.
Be clear on what it is you’re measuring.
What behaviors, skills, or habits need refining? What habits or behaviors need to be added or dropped?

Examine your approach

Are you being lazy? Do you procrastinate? Do you cut yourself too much slack when short-term objectives aren’t achieved? Stop it! Expect more of yourself.

Challenge yourself to dig deeper. Surprise yourself with your results by over-delivering on your objectives.

Open your mind to new approaches or solutions if you’re not progressing at a desired pace.

Know what you’re measuring and why so you can deliver most effectively.

Create solid partnerships based on trust and credibility with mentors who can help you achieve your goals.

Stay focused on your personal development

Be entrepreneurial minded; be the boss of your life. Take and keep control of yourself and your dreams.

Envision your future having achieved your objectives. What does that look like? What does that feel like? How do you feel about YOU having achieved those goals?

Make the rest of your life the best it can be by making 2017 the best it can be. Start now.
