I came across this quote this week and it really impressed me with its bare-knuckle truth. I have never considered fear to be the opposite of curiosity. But it does make sense. I’ve lived my life in pursuit of my life and for the understanding of things. I suppose if I were fearful, I never would have had the experiences I have.
Curiosity is the gateway not just to understanding but to freedom, joy, and discovery. Curiosity is the starting gate.
I encourage you to live your life like a downhill skier leaning into the starting gate of curiosity. Leaning in with the anticipation that any second now that gate is going to open and when it does, whatever happens next is so exciting you can’t wait to get to the bottom of it.
