As
you know, economic policies between Mexico and the United States are in
a cold and tense situation due to the revision of the free trade
agreement (TLCAL) that as promised by President Trump during his
campaign would be renamed under the terms that benefit American workers .
This situation has tightened the markets of the world and has hit the
Mexican stock exchange as well as the exchange parity bringing the
Mexican peso with the "up and down" whenever something is announced
regarding the issue of NAFTA.
In Mexico, companies in the steel and construction industries have
been affected by a deceleration that, if followed, will become a
stagnation and perhaps a contraction that affects other segments of the
metal-mechanic and services industry.
There is no doubt that the policies of the neighboring country affect
us, and as we say here on the streets of Mexico "when the US gives the
flu in Mexico gives us pneumonia."
So what recommendations do I give you to face this tense wait ?, my advice:
Do not hire personal debt in banks, credit cards or auto financing.
Lower the current consumption of expenses other than the basic ones.
Buy in your country and avoid charges in foreign currency.
Start a savings culture for retirement or difficult times.
I am confident that after renegotiating NAFTA, market conditions will
normalize and the family economy will return to normal for the good of
families in Mexico and the United States
