Final Girls

Final Girls is a psychological thriller novel written by Riley Sager. I finished this novel pretty quickly and was very surprised by its ending. It kept me on my toes and I don’t really know how I feel about it, honestly. The characters annoyed me a lot but I was rooting for the narrator, Quincy, most of the time.

The first half of the book is pretty slow but I knew that I had to read it and not skim. There was a lot of red herrings in the novel that shocked me at the end. I applaud the author for being able to keep this up, but overall I give the book 3 stars. It wasn’t perfect, but it was very interesting. I just wish that I was more attached to the characters.

The alternate narration of the past made me question if Quincy was guilty of murder, and kind of confused me. She clearly has her own problems and possibly psychological issues that she should've dealt with, before.
