I recently learned about the importance of water from Ken Squires, who wrote the following information. First, 2/3 of the human body is made up of water. Second, you will need 1.5 million gallons of water in your life! Third, if you lose 2 percent of your body’s water supply, your energy is reduced by 20 percent. A 10% drop in water means you can’t walk, and a 20% drop means you’re dead.
Spiritual Drink
I remember one day the coach said that when people think they are hungry, they become dehydrated and hunger indicates that the person needs more water, not more food. It is no secret that when Jesus spoke of Spiritual health and passion, he often spoke of water. He declared himself a living water among his followers. He spoke of a spiritual drink that cures the thirst for human life which is available at nu-botanics.
The psalmist spoke of striving before God as a thirsty deer wants to drink clean water. Indeed, in the Bible, healthy spirituality is like rivers and streams flowing, and spiritual bankruptcy is like a stagnant pool. The question is, if sin leads us to pure water that washes us away, or to a supply of polluted fluid that leaves us sick and weak, where does our desire lead us?
Primary Source
When Martin Luther saw a religious decline in Rome, people began a reform that included translating the Scriptures into a common language to feed themselves. Just as the outer man needs food and water, so the inner man must be nourished and moistened with the spiritual seed. The main source of this dish is the Scriptures.
Indeed, when Luther said that he should renounce his new faith and follow religious rites, he said his immortal words, the Scriptures assure me. I can’t and won’t return anything. I take my position on this. I can't do anything else. God help me. Amen. Are you thirsty? Be sure to drink from the healthy waters of the Word. Many people advise a person to start with the Gospel of John. I advise the Romans to add His Book, which opened the gospel of grace to the people and began the Reformation.
Things to read
It’s hard to read a book and then re-read it a few times. At the conference, the speaker reported to the Ephesians, a relatively short book. He said he had read the Ephesians twenty times a week before the presentation. In conclusion with the above metaphor, how hungry will your soul be if you reduce your spiritual nourishment by 10%, 20% or more? In order to feel the strengthening of spiritual power, it is very important to take the words of Jesus literally: the words I have spoken to you are filled with the Spirit and with life (John 6:63).
