make the payments. But how does the debt snowball work and why is it so
effective?
Let’s take a closer look at how the
debt snowball method works. To do this method:
# List out all of the debts that you
owe on, going from the smallest one to the biggest one. It does not matter the
interest rate at this time.
# When that is organized, you will
be able to make the minimum payment on each one so that you do not have
interest and fees added to any of them. If you have some extra money at the end
of the month, throw all of that to the smallest debt.
# When you get the smallest debt
paid off, you can then take that minimum payment and all the extra that you
were paying to it and start throwing it at the next-smallest debt until it is
all paid off.
You will continue to do this until
all of the debts are gone, slowly making bigger and bigger payments and getting
more motivated as you go.
