Arby’s Norovirus Lawyer Update: Norovirus Outbreak linked to Arby’s in Illinois

The Sangamon County Department of Public Health has stated that approximately 40 cases of food poisoning have been reported from people who dined at the Arby’s.

 

The Arby’s location linked to the food poisoning cases was closed by health department officials for deep cleaning but has since reopened for business.


Norovirus is a very contagious group of viruses that cause gastroenteritis illness. Infected individuals usually experience symptoms within 24 to 48 hours of exposure. Symptoms may last up to 60 hours and alleviate on their own, though sometimes further treatment is necessary.
