Tesla CEO Elon Musk told his employees in a Sunday night email that the company was the victim of sabotage, according to CNBC. Musk said a person within the electric vehicle company conducted "quite extensive and damaging sabotage,” according to the report. The acts include changing internal operating system code and releasing data. Musk’s email was followed Monday by another about a fire that halted production at its Fremont, California, plant.
