PayPal just paid out $120 million in cash for the fraud-prevention specialist Simility, according to TechCrunch. The acquisition is among several by PayPal in the past month. TechCrunch’s Ingrid Lunden says that the spree has sprung from a need by the legacy payment provider to innovate.
