Email Writing Tips For Beginners

Do you know how to write a good money-making email? This is a lost art in the world of email marketing and internet marketing in general. This part of email marketing stems from copywriting, and learning how to persuade people into clicking through to your website, and getting them to order.

Now obviously with me saying that, I suppose you expect me to try and "smooth talk" you into clicking on my website at the bottom of this post. But that's not my intent (well, not really anyway). If you want to profit, and profit immensely... learn the skill of copywriting, and the skill of email writing.

One thing in particular that you will want to do is learn how to write short emails - but that still gets people to click through to your site. This is similar to the art of classified advertising. When writing your emails, you will want to make them around 250 words long.

Why this short? Well, people these days have short attention spans. We are living in a technological age where television is the "main event" when people gets off of work. They can change the channel to any other station at the blink of an eye. So it's important that you try everything that you can to keep them "hooked" to your message.

Part of keeping your subscribers "hooked" is good content. If you deliver excellent content in every email that you send out, you can expect to get a lot of open rates, and more clicks to your website. If you proceed with mediocre content or spammy sales emails... expect to get a lot of people unsubscribing from your list.

I personally hate it when I subscribe to peoples' lists and when I receive their email, it's about 20 words long and includes a link to buy something. These are so-called "gurus" that I'm talking about here... people who strive to pinch as many pennies as possible from stray newbies.

Gurus prey on newbies and beginners. Don't be like them. They need to get a TON of subscribers to convert for their email offers (some even buy email lists - which I don't advise), and instead of having an awesome conversion rate with minimum leads, they get poor conversion rates with their large amounts of leads. That's how they're able to stay in business.

Another thing that you will want to master when it comes to email marketing is the art of writing a good subject line. If no one clicks on your email, it's an email wasted. It doesn't matter how good the content in your email is. If no one is enticed to click on it, then it's a no-go.

Personalizing your email subject lines will definitely boost your open rates. Some people say not to use personalization in emails and in the subject line, but I highly disagree. Personalization will increase open rates, clickthroughs, sales, and backend sales (after you get the customer.)

Learning how to write good and persuasive emails is something that you will want to look into doing and learn how to do. Be sure to take these tips to heart today.
