While
it is very important to follow a busy scheduled hustle and bustle life for
earning name, fame and wealth, it is equally important to follow a spiritual,
healthy and fitness routine to earn peace and longevity.
Yoga
should be imprinted in the daily schedule of every individual thus ensuring a
healthy and peaceful life. However, not all know the benefits of yoga thus
assuming the art to be just limited to mere asanas. The effective benefits of
yoga are thus enclosed within darkness. When the body, mind and breath are
united, a person is said to be in harmony and once the person is in harmony the
journey through life is happier, calmer and more fulfilling.

The
people, who understand the benefits of yoga, should take the help of yoga training
schools in Rishikesh and get themselves admitted to the
courses they offer. This would help the beginners to learn the basics of yoga
from scratch systematically in a small, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This
would strengthen the core foundation of the beginners gradually helping them to
hike up to the more complex forms of this ancient art.
Things
to keep in mind before taking up yoga courses in Rishikesh

- One should be clear of the fact that everybody is unique having different levels of stamina, strength, and flexibility.
Some
yoga possesses for beginners
This
pose aims to teach its pupils to stand with the steadiness as that of a
mountain. The word ‘Tada’ symbolizes a mountain. This asana brings the major
muscles of the body into action and improves concentration and focus. This is
the initial position over which all other poses rest.
The
pupil needs to stand with his heels slightly apart and hang his arms beside the
torso. Then he needs to gently lift and spread his toes and the balls of the
feet and lay them softly down on the floor. The body weight needs to be
balanced on the feet. Then the ankles are lifted and the thigh muscles are held
firm while they are rotated inwards. As the pupil inhales, he must elongate his
torso and when he exhales, he must release his shoulder blades away from his
head.
The collarbone should be broadened and the
neck should be elongated. The pupil must ensure that his ears, shoulders, hips,
and ankles are all in a single line. The alignment can be checked initially by
standing against the wall. The pupil can even raise his hands and stretch them.
He must breathe easy.
Vrikshasana
(The Tree Pose)
This
pose gives the pupil a sense of grounding. It aims at improving his balance and
strengthening his legs and back. This pose symbolizes the steadiness of a tall
standing tree. The right foot must be placed high up on the left thigh and the
sole of the foot must be flat and placed firmly.
The
left leg must be kept straight and the balance must be ensured. While inhaling,
the arms must be raised over the head and the palms must be brought together.
The spine must be straight and a few deep breaths must be taken. Then the pupil
must slowly exhale and the hands must be brought down and the right leg
released. Again in the same standing position, the process must be repeated
with the other leg.
Yoga
is a beautiful ancient art that should be taken up by each and every individual
to ensure physical and mental peace and strength.
