The board of Barnes & Noble announced that the company has fired CEO Demos Parneros for violating company policies, declining to specify which policies Parneros had violated, CNBC reports. Parneros will not receive severance or continue to serve on the book seller's board, the company said. Barnes & Noble will now conduct a search for a new CEO and, in the interim, a committee of company leaders will perform the role, according to CNBC.
