One of the newest released Netflix movies, Always Be My Maybe, starring Ali Wong and Randall Park, is a rom-com that tackles every Asian stereotype. From Ali Wong's interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Ali not only starred in the movie but also, wrote the script.
Ali said in her interview that her celebrity crush is Keanu Reeves. And an hour into the movie, Keanu Reeves plays as Ali's boyfriend. She also mentions that she has a fat crush on Daniel Dae Kim and guess what? He plays in the film as Ali's ex-boyfriend.
Personally, I loved the film because as an Asian American, I related to all the Asian jokes and references.
