A trek so delightful that the physical exercise felt like a cookout.
A goal so pleasant where it felt like I was in the place that is known for "Heidi.
An illusory normal pool encompassed by snow however warmed by natural aquifers.
Is it true that i was envisioning? Perhaps!
With its ethereal perspectives, adorable towns, exquisite local people and great vibes, the enchantment of Parvati Valley pulls me towards itself at any rate once consistently.
A couple of years back, one such venture brought about a trek to Kheerganga. In those days, none of the individuals I knew had known about it or had been to this spot. The acknowledgment that there was no notice of this spot on Lonely Planet and just a joke portrayal on WikiTravel wound up filling my fervor to set out on this voyage.
From Paharganj to Kasol
On a late Thursday night of warm April, I boarded a taxi from Paharganj to Kasol with 5 different companions to kick start our excursion. 550 KMs through the slopes and after 12 hours, we were in Kasol. When an interesting little stream side town, Kasol has now become a jam-stuffed visitor goal. I want to go to one of the close by towns and skip Kasol totally.
After coming to Kasol, we halted for a speedy informal breakfast at Sasi café and took off to Tosh. Without any streets inside the town, Tosh has still figured out how to hold its supernatural appeal. It was not our first time in Tosh but rather we couldn't resist wheezing when we got the principal see.
Swarmed Kasol to Quiet Tosh
Tosh was our base for this trek. The motivation of our first day was only rest and acclimatization. Be that as it may, there's no halting of inquisitive personalities and we wound up spending the whole day strolling around on restricted ways inside the town, playing with goats and sitting with local people.
Tosh is one of those couple of spots where moronic local people sit and smoke chillums with their families in the wake of a difficult day's worth of effort. All things considered, they are encompassed by mystical herbs that developed in bounty around them – presumably one of the most strong and cleanest on the planet as referenced in one of Amsterdam's cafés.
The Trek starts
Following a spontaneous late night (which wasn't a smart thought), we woke up at 5 am to begin our trek. By one way or another, none of us were hungover or languid – would it say it was the enchantment of the Himalayas? Perhaps! We left our greater knapsacks back in our hotel and conveyed a very light medium-term rucksack.
The principle way to Kheerganga begins from Barshaini from where it's a 11 KM trek. Barshaini is 3 kilometers from Tosh however we asked a couple of local people and took a trail that abbreviated our trek by 1 KM that began from Tosh itself rather than Barshaini.
The initial not many kilometers were not really a trip. Our trail was through rich ranches, little slopes and towns along the Parvati River. We really wanted to stop on numerous focuses to let the excellence of our environment hit home. With not a solitary soul in locate; we believed we had messed up until we arrived at the principal town. Not at all like Triund trek – we were the main ones on this trail.
Rudra Nag Village
The primary town where we halted, Rudra Nag, was close to a cascade. This is the place we chose to enjoy a little reprieve and eat Maggie noodles.
We crossed a delicate looking tight scaffold individually and arrive at a billboard that arrowed towards Kalga town. There were no different markings however we knew Kheerganga was towards the opposite side of the billboard.
The last piece of the trek requested a strenuous ascension. It was right then and there I asked myself – "the amount more would i be able to move in one day?" Strangely, directly after that idea, out of the blue I ran over a sign that said "Welcome to Kheerganga".
