Winter Activities to Do

Winter? Do I hear Christmas? New Years? Sounds like almost everyone's favorite time of the year to spend time with their loved ones. Take a look down below to see how you should be living it to its fullest!

1. Snow day

Winter means cold weather! Hopefully, if you're in an area where it snows or you'll willing to drive up to the mountains you can really enjoy your time there. Make sure you're nice and layered up and head out into the snow. The possibilities are endless! Build a snowman, have a snowball fight with your friends/family, go skiing/snowboarding/sledding, and there's always the good ol' snow angels you can make when you get tired and want to take a break laying down.

2. Stay indoors

If you'd rather be comfy than cold, there's absolutely no problem with that! Stay inside and have a nice steaming mug of hot chocolate while binge watching your favorite movies. Buy some snacks and cover yourself with a blanket, because you can perfectly have a good time without wearing 8 different layers outside.

3. Buying Christmas presents/tree

Winter also means Christmas is coming! So you better get your presents ready! Think about what your friends/family/significant others may want and hopefully you've been saving up. It gets pretty hectic around this season, so it's best to get it done the earlier the better. Also, don't forget about your Christmas tree! My family and I usually make a whole day out of putting up the tree and decorating it while listening to Christmas carols, so spend some quality time doing that as well.

4. Baking cookies and making gingerbread houses

Santa isn't the only one who enjoys milk and cookies. Make him jealous by taking a day to bake with some friends that you can enjoy fresh out of the oven with some milk. If baking isn't your forte, maybe crafting is? Buy a set of gingerbread houses that you can make and see how creative you can be. It's amazing what you can make with some frostings and sprinkles.

5. Ice skating

Don't worry! If you're in an area that doesn't really get very cold but you're dying to do something in honor of Winter, go ice skating! It's a fun way to spend a couple hours, maybe learning or teaching something new with other people. You don't have to go to the mountains to enjoy the holiday spirit. Hopefully you won't slip and fall as much as I do!

Take a break from everything and appreciate your time with your friends, family, and significant others. Have fun!
