Colour profiles guarantee a predictable and consistent print result on various kinds of paper. All you have to do is set up the latest ICC profile variants and embed them in your own artwork. In 2015, several colour profile criteria were revised and released by the International Color Consortium (ICC). Every device has its own personal colour space it may display. This is the reason images look different on a monitor, poster or in a brochure. When it comes to printing, paper forms can be challenging due to their distinct design and feel. The same print ink and art may look totally different based on the newspaper stock. Colour profiles goal to produce predictable and consistent colour results on different apparatus by accounting for the features of paper types and printing techniques. To achieve this, the International Color Consortium (ICC) develops color profiles for various media. The ICC profiles may be downloaded for free (more about this later).
They're compatible with Windows, Mac OS and any other regular operating system. But, ICC profiles are usually not installed on your own pc by default so you have to do this manually. Also, you have to re create the ICC profiles into your design program. We'll describe how to do this later in this report. ICC profiles are always developed further. The color profiles relevant for print shops (PSO coated & uncoated) are available in an upgraded version because 2015. The most recent variant 3 of the conventional guarantees even better color reproduction, especially on natural newspapers. But the 1 printing standard also defines new requirements for measurement engineering, standard illumination and evidence documents. To publish coated papers like art paper, Onlineprinters requires the PSO coated v3 profile. For uncoated paper shares like counter and natural papers, we employ the PSO uncoated v3 profile.
