Google Groups - Google Word Coach
Google word coach was started in the early months of the year 2018. The primary motive
behind articulating such service was the make people learn different stances of the English
language in an amusing yet efficient way. When we search, ‘Google Word Coach’ on the
search bar, an attached bar appears just below it just like its own sub-section. Then, we get to
see the game is segmented into five stages and is considered as level/phase-1.

The score point is visible in the top right corner of the section, where one gets rewarded by
the number of points on selecting the correct answer. I believe, awarding the user with the
points creates a psychological mindset for them to get the correct answer. No doubt, getting
the correct answer does give them a positive mindset to play further at the same time learn!

Google also provides an option to keep the word coach in the form of an app. Before starting out
the game, there’s a small mobile shaped logo being displayed on the lower-left corner of the
zone. Once the user clicks on that part, he/she is been directed to access the app mode of the
word coach. This gives the user much handier access towards the word coach.

Once you finish the set of 5 questions (Level/phase I), an evaluation section pops out which
showcases the penultimate score of the user, and the number of question(s) they’re
correct/incorrect on. Once we click on any question, a follow-up sub-section pops out which
is been bifurcated into three segments- Learn Why, how is x different? And what’s the
definition of y, for example.

However, it’s not just texts, but visual questions are also been used for the in-depth elaboration
of the words and statements. The word coach is primarily postulated for the countries that
don’t have English as their first language or those who frequently use google translation for
English. The format and questions are customized depending on the country. For example-
While playing in India, a question about, what ‘Guru’ is similar to? Could be asked in one of
those rounds.
