'The Heiress' is a 2019 Filipino upcoming horror flick. Produced by Regal Entertainment Inc., the oldest surviving movie studio in the Philippines.
The film tells the story of Mambabarang, a Philippine folklore. Mambabarang is the Filipino version of the sorcerer/sorceress. When a Mambabarang was about to die, she/he had to absolutely transmit all of her/his knowledge on pangbabarang (sorcery) to her/his family or someone else. Creepy!
The term sorcery in Scripture is continually used in reference to an immoral or false practice.
Ms. Maricel Soriano (also known as the one and only 'Diamond Star' of the Philippines) as Auntie Luna, the Mambabarang who will do anything to keep her niece Guia close to her. Janella Salvador as Guia.
