Chicago's Rising Stars Part 2 (Polo G)

With his mellifluous music style and swag Polo G is definitely Chicago’s number 1 rising star. The 20 year old Chicago native grew up on Chicago’s North Side, next to the former Cabrini Green projects which are infamous for being one of the most dangerous apartment buildings in Chicago. Polo G has been rapping since late 2018 and already has millions of views on his music videos. His biggest and hottest track to date “Finer Things” is him in his hood with his family and gang detailing his life! The video for “Finer Things” currently has 33 million views. However, he has also released songs like “Hollywood” and “Battle Cry” which both have 10 million views! his songs are very unique is their own right and he has been compared to people like Chicago legend G Herbo in terms of lyrics. His 2 most recent songs are “Pop Out” with Lil Tjay an emerging artist from the Bronx and “Ms. Capalot.” As previously stated, I believe that Polo G is Chicago’s number 1 because he’s been able to release amazing music consistently and his overall prowess as a new rapper is what really brings it home for me!!!!
